Posovuopaja waterfront development plan, 2023-2024
The aim of preparing the Posovuopaja waterfront master plan was to enable the expansion of a resort-type tourist area into the planning area, where the starting point for implementation has been to take environmental and landscape values into account.
The planning area includes the Aurora Village resort area, which was built in 2016-2022, which, in addition to 28 northern lights cabins, includes a reception and restaurant building, safari and maintenance buildings, sauna buildings, staff apartments, a horse stable, etc., totaling approximately 1,330,000 m2.
The plan allows for the expansion of the existing area, taking into account the special characteristics of the area, especially the flood risk and landscape structure. The total building right of the coastal station plan is 6600 square meters.
