Miesniemi waterfront plan, 2020
The aim of preparing the coastal site plan is to enable the implementation of a high-quality resort-type tourist area in the planning area, where approximately 5,900 square meters of building rights will be located.
The 46.47 hectare area is located in a scenic location in Aaltovaara on the western shore of Miesniemi in Inari. The plan was prepared based on the Arctic Well concept plan (Pave Arkkitehdit Oy), which is a high-quality master plan for a hotel area, the design language and architecture of which draw their ideas from the surrounding nature. A special feature of the plan has been, in addition to the reindeer husbandry perspective, an assessment of the impacts on Sámi culture and livelihoods.
