Jeesiönranta town plan amendment and expansion, 2018-2019

The plan change and expansion enabled the implementation of Sodankylä's so-called well-being triangle.

The wellness center in the Metsävainio area, the ice rink, the current sports hall and the sports park near the city center form an entity that supports well-being, in which the role of the zoning change and expansion was to connect the land use of the areas in question together. In addition, a supporting and significant factor in the development of the area was the possibility of implementing accommodation services and a spa/swimming pool in the area.
